Welcome to the B. C. Air Originals Squadron, My name is D. P. (Wayne) Mathis, and although some people may think I'm crazy, I prefer to be thought of as nuts, just PLANE NUTS that is... One of my passions is Airplanes, and I've been building and flying them for more than 40 years.

I've flown 7 different types of Aircraft, and have built literally hundreds of models, out of virtually everything imaginable. About 20 years ago I began designing and building, what are now known WORLDWIDE, as the B. C. Air Originals.

At first I kept the construction technique, of my unique little Planes, a closely guarded secret. After all, I was the only source for obtaining one of these Planes and I soon found that EVERYONE wanted one. In Fact, I very quickly realized that I could NOT build enough to meet the demand. After building more than 800 of these Planes... I finally gave into the overwhelming requests, to share my construction secrets, on how to build these Planes.

	For the next couple of years I supplied fellow Pilots and Airplane enthusiasts in all 50 states, and more than 14 foreign countries, with information and guidance on how to build my Planes.
	I'm sure some of you may remember me from the year I spent traveling the air show circuits exhibiting my Planes.

Or maybe you've seen one of the numerous articles, written about my Planes, in many of the Aviation Magazines and On-Line Blogs. Dave Martin, Editor of KITPLANES Magazine wrote, "Your planes are the hit of our office complex! These are Real Works of Art". The Editor of PRIVATE PILOT Magazine reported, "These are Handsome, Eye-Catching, Attention Getters that are GREAT FUN ".
