Piper Cherokee

The Piper PA-28 Cherokee is a family of light aircraft designed for flight training, air taxi, and personal
use. It is built by the Piper Aircraft Corp. The first PA-28 received its type certificate from the Federal
Aviation Administration in 1960, and the series remains in production to this day with more than 32,800
having been built. Characteristic of the earlier Cherokees is it's "Hershey Bar" wing because of its
resemblance to the convex, rectangular chocolate bar. Many pilots earned their Private Pilot's Certificate
in this relatively easy-to-fly aircraft which is still very popular with private owners and flying clubs.
