Beech Baron

The Beechcraft Baron is a light, twin-engined piston aircraft developed by Beechcraft Aircraft Corp.
This airplane was introduced when President Dwight Eisenhower was still in office.
With more than 6,700 aircraft produced, the Baron is still in production today.
Since its inception, the Baron has always been near the top of the light airplane hierarchy.
Many multi-engine pilots like the security of an extra engine in case of one engine failure,
while other multi-engine pilots agree that, in case of one engine failure,
you can rest assured that the other engine will get you to the crash site.
In 2008 a new Baron costs roughly $1,040,000, but due to it's relatively high operating costs,
today a reasonably good Baron can be had for about the same price as a good single engine plane.
